The signs of the zodiac are said to be ruled by one of the planets of our solar system. Three signs have co-rulers. Pisces is one of those signs. It is co-ruled by Jupiter and Neptune, both of which are transiting through Pisces at this time. They will be conjunct to each other on April 12. There is a conjunction between these two planets approximately every 13 years, but they haven’t been conjunct in Pisces since 1849, which was 3 years after Neptune was discovered. This combination of events triggered what was then called a “spiritualist movement”, which was usually about séances and Ouija boards.
Conjunctions are times of new beginnings. Pisces is the sign of the collective psyche. We can assume that this conjunction can indicate a new opening on the inner planes that is affecting everyone in the world right now. Of course this is pretty subtle stuff, nothing that could lead to an immediate world wide awakening that would end all war or anything like that. A new consciousness could be sewn at this time and will emerge slowly in years to come.
What is the nature of that consciousness? Neptune is the energy of the subconscious mind, higher spiritual being and transcendent consciousness. It helps us open our intuition to insights, realizations and understanding that we may defy or at least hide from conscious, rational thought. If we are centered and tuning into the energy, we can feel compassion, empathy and a desire to serve others to eliminate pain and suffering. It can enable us to see through various illusions about reality and develop faith in the inclusiveness of the universe. This is the faith that comes from literally feeling the Divine Presence in our life. If we are off-center, however, Neptune is simply confusing. It can create fantasies that we buy into as real that could lead to self-sacrifice. Neptune can lead to self-criticism and self-destruction that can take the form of substance abuse.
Jupiter represents the principal of expansion. Attitudinally it is optimistic and joyful. Intellectually it is insatiably curious, always seeking to expand consciousness by reading, studying or traveling. When centered, we can experience Jupiter as providing opportunities for success, prosperity and even abundance. Off-center, however, Jupiterian energy can lead to exaggeration, excessive generosity and tendencies to hold on to one’s beliefs to the extent that dogma replaces open minded thought.
The Jupiter-Neptune conjunction in Pisces is an opportunity for humanity to have a collective realization about who we are and what the true nature of life is. It can enable us to tune in to the Divine Presence which is always there, but which we are not trained to look for, appreciate or take advantage of. This conjunction can enable us to realize the spiritual nature of life and tap into Oneness, the Source of life itself. We can begin to be aware of the subtle vibrations that flow through everything and everyone and are the key to realizing that life and God (or Great Spirit or Divine Mother or whatever name you choose label the concept) are one and the same.
For those experiencing this conjunction who are off-center, there could be an increase in drug addiction, conspiracy theories, being very spaced out or other ways of denying reality and drifting off into one’s own fantasy world.
The chances of this conjunction bringing consciousness awakening to everyone are slim to none. However, anyone can choose to tune in on their own and take advantage of a rare opportunity to expand awareness to include the identification with Source. Nothing is preventing that except habit and bad programming. Use this time to reprogram your psyche, create new habits and recognize the peace, love and power that accompanies acknowledgment of truth.
Aries (March 21-April 20)

Virgo: This is a good time for some deep research. This could be a project for school, but it could also be a journey into something which has interested you for a long time but which you haven’t the time or opportunity to pursue. The energy this month could also be used to deepen or clarify long-standing assumptions about the nature of life and your place in it.
Libra (Sept 23-Oct 23)
